WORKSHOPS

Each workshop begins with a clear concept, connected to my current creation. Together, we research this concept through guided improvisation tasks, allowing a unique movement language to emerge.

Once we understand the language, we begin to build: I share set phrases with the dancers, but they are equally encouraged to create their own material. From solos to group sections, the process becomes a collaboration—an exchange of ideas and interpretations.

I value sharing my creative process with fellow performing artists. It expands the potential of the concept and keeps dancers actively engaged, not just as bodies executing movement, but as thinkers and creators. I believe in what each individual brings—intellectually, creatively, and personally.

This approach creates a space where dancers contribute to something greater, shaping work that feels both shared and alive.

Previously shared at Steps on Broadway, Nederlands Dans Theater, Gibney, La Gaurdia High School, Asheville Conservatory, Equilibro Dynamico, University of Virginia, Wortham Center of the Arts, More Than Movement,  Dance Bunch and more.
